Another drawing from Ichi-Coo Park, this one from a visit made last summer, when the weather was dry enough that we were able to sketch in the open.
The park has many dramatic perspectives, and this one funnels towards a fantastic set of wrought iron gates, although they are rather lost in this sketch as they are a bit too far away. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this at first, as I was concentrating on getting the shape of the trees right, so by the time I realised how small the gates were on the paper it was far to late to change anything.
Nevertheless I rather like the shape of this arboreal avenue, and I’m a sucker for symmetry, so overall I was quite pleased with this particular doodle.
