Fünf Höfe, Munich

I was rather taken with the greenery hanging from the ceiling, and indeed with the view and colours of the whole space. I suspect that I was supposed instead to have been taken by the range of shops, but getting me interested in shopping is not easy, as my wife will readily attest!

I think it was the right choice to do this in watercolour – at least the colour range and lightness of the space seemed to be right for that approach. I became quite confused with all the reflections though – working out what was really there and what was just a mirrored artefact – and that even after I had carefully constructed a vanishing point to get all the angles (more or less) right.
