Frame or Border

Another doodle. This one started in my head as a kind of Russian doll arrangement of picture frame within picture frame within picture frame etc …

To start with things were quite easy. Working outside in, the starting point is a wall, then a frame, then a mount, then a … eventually I decided on a cross-stitch border pattern. However, after the amusement of figuring out how to make a realistic cross stitch pattern in the drawing app I became a bit stuck, not knowing what might naturally occur within a cross-stitch border that was itself a frame or border. Eventually I hit upon the idea of another image stuck in front of the original, which can then show another frame and then a mount, and then a … but this time I was really stuck for ideas, so decided to fill the hole in the middle with a post-it note!

So not quite what I had originally imagined, but interesting to do nonetheless.

BTW – the text in the bottom of the mount is nonsense. If you look closely you will see it is just the letters of the alphabet laid out as a Qwerty keyboard!
