Bends

The initial idea for this picture came from a rather weak pun on the name of the car manufacturer and the curves of a zig zagging road! That notwithstanding, I had a lot of fun and wasted a good deal of time on the details of the car. It is I think a Mercedes-Benz 220 S – this particular model was on display at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart when I visited recently.

This image was of course drawn using a vector graphics app, which is the easiest method that I have yet found to get the large blocks of uniform colour that are needed for this style of drawing. Despite the dodgy pun in the title, I am rather happy with the resulting picture.
