Robot Mower

Another notable feature of Ichi-Coo Park is their fleet (or flock?) of robot mowers that crawl around the grounds keeping the grass cut short. I saw one of these machines pause in the shade of a tree, giving every impression that it was seeking relief from the hot sunshine that was beating down on us all!

This sketch was supposed to be a quick drawing, although in the end I added quite a lot of detail with the pen. I also seem to have twisted the front of the machine by messing up the perspective on the badge, making it look as if this unit has been involved in a head-on collision. Apart from that however, the shape and purposefulness are broadly correct.

  1. What a delightful observation! I love how you gave the robot mower a personality, as if it had paused under the tree to escape the summer heat. It’s those imaginative touches that make your sketches so engaging. The honesty about the perspective mishap only adds to the charm—after all, every sketch tells a story beyond perfect lines. A wonderful blend of keen observation, humor, and artistic expression. Well done!
