Tallinn has many old towers, some of them round and some of them square. For the avoidance of doubt, the one I have drawn here is round, and goes by the name of Kiek In De Kök.
Two things in particular caught my eye in this view. The first is that, having just arrived in Estonia from a very parched England, the grass in front of the tower is very, very green. However, that is quite difficult to draw as I am travelling equipped with only a few black pens, so you will just have to take my word on that! The second thing I noticed is that this tower has (quite accidentally) more than a passing resemblance to the towers of the fairy-tale castle shown in my previous post – the difference being that those towers were entirely imaginary, whereas this tower is very real and includes a tall steep spiral staircase to get to see the view from the top.
